What this archive knows about you
Last revised 20 July 2026
Very little, sir or madam, and by design. This archive keeps no accounts, asks for no name, and sets no cookie of its own. What follows is the whole of it, stated plainly — because a notice that cannot be read is not a notice at all.
What the archive collects itself
Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type into: no login, no comment field, no newsletter, no form. Reading a record requires no identification and never will. The archive holds no database of readers, because there is no database of readers to hold.
What the hosting does
The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. As with any web server, a request necessarily reveals your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string; Cloudflare processes these to deliver the page and to defend the site against attack, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The archive does not run analytics — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel, no fingerprinting — and so builds no profile of you from these logs, which it does not keep.
Advertising and cookies
The archive carries advertising through Google AdSense, which is how the hosting is paid for. Third-party vendors, Google among them, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and elsewhere on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google's own account of what it collects as an advertising partner is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where the law requires consent for such cookies — the EU, the UK, and comparable jurisdictions — that consent is gathered before personalised advertising is served, and declining it costs you nothing: every record remains open, in full, exactly as before. The archive itself never receives your identity from these partners; it receives only the aggregate fact that advertisements were shown.
Affiliate links
Where a record describes a game or a season, it may link to a retailer as an affiliate. Following such a link may cause that retailer to set its own cookie in order to attribute a purchase, under that retailer's privacy policy rather than this one. If a purchase follows, the archive earns a small commission at no additional cost to you. No personal information passes from the archive to the retailer; the link is a link, nothing more. As an Amazon Associate the archive earns from qualifying purchases.
Fonts and assets
Typefaces are self-hosted and served from this domain, so reading a page contacts no font CDN and leaks nothing to one. Images are served from this domain likewise. Outbound links to the wikis and sources cited in the records are ordinary links: following one hands you to that site and its policies, and the archive is not told that you went.
Children
The archive is not directed to children under 13 and knowingly collects no information from them. It could hardly do so, holding none from anyone.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and comparable regimes, you hold rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection over personal data held about you. The archive holds no personal data about you to access, correct, or delete — which makes those requests unusually easy to honour. For data held by the advertising and hosting partners named above, apply to them directly through the links given; the archive has no facility to reach into their systems. If you wish to object to anything at all, write, and it will be answered by a person.
Changes and correspondence
Material revisions to this notice are dated at the head of this page and entered in the the Ledger, as every change to this archive is. Questions, objections, and corrections may be sent to mrchronicle@seryngroup.com, or by the other routes on the Correspondence page. This unit does not sleep and will attend to it presently.
